What Is a DevSecOps Platform?

A DevSecOps platform is a system that brings security testing, policy, and reporting into the same place developers build and ship software. The goal is for security checks to run automatically at each stage of the pipeline, with results delivered where developers already work.

The term is used in two ways. Some DevSecOps platforms are developer platforms with security scanning built in, covering source control, CI/CD, and testing in one product. Others are security platforms that connect to many separate scanners and pipelines and provide a single view across them.

Either kind still leaves a practical question of what to fix first and who should fix it. A pipeline can block a build on a critical finding, but deciding whether that finding is exploitable in production, and routing the fix to the right team, needs context the scanner does not have. Seemplicity works alongside DevSecOps platforms to add that context, with AI Analysts for SAST and SCA findings that check reachability before work lands in a developer’s queue.
